Hi!  My name is Annie.  I’m a candidate for Mayor of the new Riverside Regional Pet Shelter, and I would really appreciate your votes – lots of them!

That’s right…I said Lots of Them!  This is a different kind of election than the ones you 2 footed friends run.  This election is all about helping my 4 footed friends…providing them with care and loving, forever homes.   In this election I am asking you to vote with your dollars, because every dollar you contribute to my campaign goes directly to help build the new Riverside Regional Pet Shelter.  My 2 footed friends at BENCHS have already started building the new shelter out on River Drive next to Wilson Trailer.  It’s really going to be grrreat…lots of room and next to the river and walking trail…and wow…the roof  won't leak anymore!

But they need more help to make it really nice for my friends.  I’m lucky…I have a warm, loving forever home with my 2 footed companions  (oh yeah…a bunch of cats too…but I guess they’re OK…after all, they’re MY cats now)…but too many of my 4 footed friends still need the new shelter. 

Let’s face it…I’m better at playing ball than making money.  Only you can make this happen with your votes.  My friends at BENCHS (Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society) tell me you even get a tax break on your votes cuz they’re a 501c3 nonprofit group.
